This is a Sample Itinerary
What is the sample itinerary?
These are real trips designed for clients, with passions and parameters as wide-ranging as you can imagine.
We’re all about “made-to-order,” so don’t think of these trips as “ready-to-wear.” We want to whet your appetite and show you possibilities.
Have fun looking through one or two. See what makes your heart race. Then, call us and we will create a trip that’s perfect for you – with everything you want and nothing you don’t. That’s what we believe travel should be.
We will tell you our favorite local joint to get a light dinner (it might help with jet lag).
DAY 2: BARCELONA
Highlights of your day: investigate the ancient Roman city of Barcino at the Museu d’Història de la Ciutat; dig into layers of architectural history at the medieval cathedral.
Take the tram to the peak of Tibidabo to watch the sun set.
DAY 3: BARCELONA
Antonio Gaudí is widely recognized as one of the world’s most inventive and artful architects. Your expert guide will show you the finest examples of his work in Barcelona, each with its own unique and surreal touches.
DAY 4: MADRID
Enjoy your high-speed train ride to Madrid.
Tonight, experience first-hand, with our local specialist, a Madrileño ritual; Strolling through town to sample tapas (small plates of appetizer-like dishes) accompanied by Spanish wines. The aromas of garlic, olive oil, cheese and saffron will tempt you as you mingle with Madrileños in the city’s tapas establishments.
DAY 5: MADRID
Highlights of your day: the world-famous Prado museum houses some of the giants of European art, including the Spanish masters—Velazquez and Goya. See where the Arab souk once stood, in what was then the center of the city.
DAY 6: TOLÉDO
Highlights of your day: time-travel to quieter times when you visit the 15th century monastery at San Juan de los Reyes; pick out your favorite El Greco at the museum dedicated to the great artist.
DAY 7: SEVILLA
Enjoy your high-speed train ride to Sevilla.
If you’ve ever been curious about flamenco and its passion, Sevilla is the place to explore it. Tonight, watch a tablao of flamenco dances and enjoy a glass of wine.
DAY 8: SEVILLA
Highlights of your day: admire the Andalucian gardens adjacent to the Alcazar Palace; eat lunch and shop for gifts in the fashionable Barrio de Santa Cruz.
Try a cup of thick hot chocolate at one of Sevilla’s authentic chocolaterias. You can thank us later.
DAY 9: CÓRDOBA
Highlights of your day: explore every inch of Córdoba’s medieval quarter, the restored heart of the city; ask your guide to show you some patios, or courtyards, decorated by city residents and open to the public year-round.
DAY 10: GRANADA
Highlights of your day: the experience of being at the Alhambra, a monument to Spain’s Moorish past and one of the “unofficial” wonders of the world, is not easily approximated in words.
Tonight, wander the Albaicin district with your guide and grab some drinks and tapas in true Andalucian style.
