This is a Sample Itinerary
What is the sample itinerary?
These are real trips designed for clients, with passions and parameters as wide-ranging as you can imagine.
We’re all about “made-to-order,” so don’t think of these trips as “ready-to-wear.” We want to whet your appetite and show you possibilities.
Have fun looking through one or two. See what makes your heart race. Then, call us and we will create a trip that’s perfect for you – with everything you want and nothing you don’t. That’s what we believe travel should be.
After you have settled in, spend the early evening with your guide, strolling the jubilant Djemaa el Fnaa, the greatest square in all of Africa.
DAY 2: MARRAKECH
Highlights of your day: the Medersa ben Youssef, the Koranic university and center of religious education in Morocco; the Musee de Marrakech, housed in the 19th century Mnebhi Palace; Marrakech’s famous souks are home to stalls full of exotic goodies… spices, carpets, jewels, copper, and more.
DAY 3: MARRAKECH
Highlights of your day: a visit to one of Yves St. Laurent’s pet projects, the tropical Majorelle Gardens, and an exploration of the opulent Saadien Tombs. There will be plenty of time to shop and eat today—ask us for our recommendations for both.
DAY 4: SAHARA
Hop aboard your private helicopter and enjoy the breathtaking view as you fly to your private desert encampment.
A traditional Berber dinner will be prepared for you at the camp. Spend the evening soaking up the beauty of the Saharan sky and the magnificence of your surroundings.
DAY 5: SKOURA
Wake up early to watch the sun rise in the east.
Maghreb, the Arabic name for Morocco, means the West; Morocco was at one point considered the very edge of not only the Islamic world, but also of the known world.
Enjoy your drive north to the Skoura oasis.
DAY 6: SKOURA
Spend today enjoying your surroundings.
We suggest a 4×4 expedition to the Valley of the Roses, where you can decide whether to drive or to hike through the dramatically beautiful landscapes.
DAY 7: FES
Sit back and relax on your flight to Fes.
After settling in to your hotel, your guide will introduce you to this gorgeous city with a medieval feel.
DAY 8: FES
Highlights of your day: Fes’s famous tanneries where you will marvel at the vibrant colors and traditional craftsmanship; stop by the excellent museum at Foundouk Nejjarine.
In the early evening you will be invited to taste authentic Moroccan wines, paired with a decadent private dinner.
DAY 9: FES
You will journey outside of Fes to explore the nearby ruins of Volubulis, the ancient Roman settlement.
Continue to Moulay Idriss (the holiest Muslim site in Morocco) and to imperial Meknes, whose stables of Sultan Moulay Ismail once held 12,000 horses.
You must experience lunch at Dar Akrab, one of our favorite restaurants, for a local meal.
