5 Nights –Cape Town 3 Nights –Hwange National Park 2 Nights –Victoria Falls 2 Nights –Selinda 2 Nights –Okavango Delta 3 Nights –Kalahari Desert
DAY 1: CAPE TOWN
You will be welcomed to Cape Town and escorted to your hotel, situated on the slopes of Table Mountain, overlooking the bay. Spend your evening enjoying Cape Town. Dine at a top local restaurant that we will recommend.
DAY 2: CAPE TOWN
Enjoy an expertly guided tour of Cape Town to see what makes this world-famous city tick, including the historic district, the pastel-hued Bo Kaap Quarter, the African Street Food Market, packed with delicious items, and a cable car ride up Table Mountain.
DAY 3: CAPE TOWN
Today you will explore Cape Peninsula and the legendary and fearsome Cape Point. See where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. Snap shots of lovable African penguins, Cape fur seals and more.
DAY 4: CAPE TOWN
Explore the Cape Winelands with stops at the famous and renowned towns of Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Look forward to a day filled with fine wines, great food and spectacular scenery.
DAY 5: CAPE TOWN
Visit a township and one of the micro-projects serving the local community. Spend the afternoon at the lovely Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
DAY 6: HWANGE NATIONAL PARK
Today you will fly to Zimbabwe and on to one of the best game viewing areas in Hwange National Park. You will see wildlife congregating around shallow pans throughout the park.
DAY 7 & 8: HWANGE NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy a full day of game drives and guided walks in this private concession, where you will see lion, leopard, wild dog, cheetah and African wildcat.
DAY 9: VICTORIA FALLS
If time permits, you may have one last game drive before flying to Victoria Falls Airport. Explore the town, see the Falls and take a sunset cruise on the Zambezi.
DAY 10: VICTORIA FALLS
Enjoy an exhilarating journey (alongside an elephant!) near the edge of the Zambezi gorges. Have lunch in the Chinotimba Township, hosted by a local family, and take a private tour of Victoria Falls.
DAY 11: SELINDA
Fly to Botswana. Your camp will overlook the Selinda Spillway, a unique seasonal waterway that links the Okavango Delta with the game-rich floodplains of the Linyanti Swamps.
DAY 12: SELINDA
Enjoy some spectacular game-viewing: antelope, zebra, cheetah, wild dog, lion, and elephant, as well as nocturnal species including serval (a type of wild cat), porcupine and leopard.
DAY 13: OKAVANGO DELTA
Fly to the Okavango Delta and stay at a remote camp situated on an elongated island heavily wooded with palm and fig trees. With amazing views of the lush vegetation, this is an intimate and luxurious camp.
DAY 14: OKAVANGO DELTA
Enjoy game activity in a safari vehicle, motorized boat or mokoro (dug-out canoe). Float past the beautiful islands and forests characteristic of this area.
DAY 15: KALAHARI DESERT
Fly to the Kalahari Desert and check in at your camp which borders Makgadikgadi National Park and sits serenely in a reef of palm at the edge of the world, where one can see the earth curve on the horizon. You will explore the area with Bushmen trackers.
DAY 16 & 17: KALAHARI DESERT
After a picnic breakfast, you will visit the resident meerkats. Relax over brunch and afternoon tea. Try to track the rare brown hyenas. Your Bushmen trackers will take you to small archaeological sites and villages. You may also ride quad bikes across the pan and watch the sun set.
Fly to Maun and Johannesburg for your departing flight.
